Full on child abuse. The poor kid was terrified. If that was my kid. We’d be getting a divorce.

But the kid will never drown in the pool

Very smart parenting. It’s our job as parents to prepare our kids for the worst.

It worked for me my dad just tossed me in. I told him I can’t swim he said not with that attitude and tossed me in. I can swim now. 😏😂

How it’s done. Have a pool. Have kids? Throw em in

Not the first time this child has been in the water and knows how to float. That Mom knows what she is doing. If you have young children and a pool, better safe than sorry. Teach.

As effective as teaching a youngster to swim is, I feel like the baby inhaling chlorinated water is not a good thing

Child abuse. This can very easily be done in a calm manner where the child feels comfortable and secure. This is not that.

It is what is commonly known as good parenting. Lesson 1. Don't be controlled by fear. Learning how to swim is a great first start. I started riding motorcycles when I was 4 years old. Fell down many times. Got up more times. Still riding 50+ years later. Thanks Dad.

Maybe both 😟😟😟

Scary...but ultimately life saving...lifelong beach lifeguard...it's a must if you live in Florida...

Child abuse. My ex did that to my oldest daughter in a lake. She is now 30 and still terrified of water.

great parenting. Jumped in just in case at least. Not all could do that, but that kid is a fighter.

The kid will just be scared shitless of Waterford rest of his life. What’s next …throw rocks at him until he swims to the other side ?

Just drop your crying child into the pool while he's crying. I don't like that method at all. Get the little guy calm first.

I would not recommend being fully clothed while taking a dip in the pool

That’s disturbing

That’s exactly how I learned

Oh my! I don’t think I would record it.

That's how I learned to swim..m.and how I taught my kids

I'm not sure, but that kid will be tougher now.

Kid seems terrified to me. That’s not how you teach a kid IMO.

Smart Parenting

Both?

Not sure. There are other ways

Did he struggle? Does he trust Mum? Was Mum allways present and focused? Looks good to me, he quickly worked out how to float. Might not be right for all kids but seemed to work for him, he was never in any danger.

Training...all good to me ✌🏼🇺🇸

It’s how I was taught, today these pansies would scream child abuse

Smart.

She should have been in the pool first!

SMART PARENTING! The mother was there the whole time. What if the kid was alone without this exposure?

It could save his life one day.
