Stupid question: 🙋🏼♀️ Do the cattle seem to "get cold" Does their hide adequately protect them when it is zero ?

It’s unreal. I show up thinking how bad conditions are and they are out playing king of the hill and such. It’s not what humans consider cold as cold

Be prepared for any weather. Stay one step ahead with real-time weather updates.

Where do they go on your property when it gets that cold? I would assume they get acclimated to extreme cold gradually. Is there a windbreak? Are they given extra bedding material?

We give them a nice run of bedding and ground feed

Brr. Twins will be ok? And others born in last couple of weeks?

Playing in snow.

Thank you 😊. To all of small farmers Across the United States. We as consumers appreciate all of your hard work and dedication. God Continue to Bless you all . 🙏🏻✝️

Your poor herd! All the new calves. Have you ever had temps that were just too cold for them?

16 minus is coldest. Tend to loose ears and tails when it’s that cold. March April

Clay, keep those cold temperatures. Make sure the babies are kept in a barn.
