Tiktok is basically dictating all standards. Random ppl teach you how your partner should behave, how you should look, what you should eat, what you should wear, this is bad, this is good. Some of them share pretty good information, but most of them are just narcissistic 😔

And also the “female manipulator” pages are toxic as well. Teaching young, impressionable girls that they need to manipulate people in order to get love is so exhausting. Also people getting into witchcrafts for the love spells rather than learning not to settle.

they’re also making up insecurities that literally never existed like why are people sobbing bc their nose moves when they talk or what their side profile looks like when they smile. genuinely who cares ? they’re just making stuff up so ppl hate themselves more

She's right, when I think about it I bought a lot of stuff I wouldn't have bought before, I joined the gym, that's not necessarily bad but it says a lot about the impact social networks can have on people

i had to delete tik tok last year because all of this was being shoved down my throat and i legitimately started hating how i looked, i because so insecure and started going ti the gym for all the wrong reasons
