This just made it click for me. Swerve is to focused on fluidity for a spot like this to have the impact is needs. This is wrestling with heavy staccato, or bold italics. Swerve rarely hits that gear.

because the problem isn't in the sequence, it's in the believability and quality of the sequence. nothing here is outrageously out of my imagination for being real. There isn't a phoned in move and everything seems like it has real intent to hurt, not be a collaborative effort
