He got fired for complimenting his HR manager… so the podcast host made him repeat it in front of another HR rep live on air. Guest: “I got fired about two months ago for making inappropriate statements.” Host: “What did you say?” Guest: “I told my HR manager, ‘Oh, you look kind of good today.’” Host: “You said that to HR?” Guest: “Yes.” Host: “Wait. We have our own Head of HR here. Say it again.” The guest thought it was just a harmless compliment. His company clearly saw it differently.
