🇲🇱The recent attack on Dioura, Mali, was preventable & further illustrates how little the FAMa seem to be learning from past mistakes. Dioura has fallen four times: in 2019, 2023, 2025, & again on Sep 10, 2026. In this recent case, I see failures at both the higher and lower levels of command. This particular video is from the May 2025 attack, but I’m using it because the footage clearly helps illustrate the same problems from the Sep 10 attack. 1) Dioura is the worst constructed base I've seen in Mali. See video, the Hesco barriers are chest high all around. Imagine being trapped inside a box, while attackers can run straight up to the walls, use them as cover, fire into the camp, then simply climb over and enter from anywhere. Once a sizeable force reaches the perimeter, it's over, good game. This part is the local command failure, its difficult to understand how the Dioura commander would sit in such a vulnerable position without improving it. But look at the image to the right, That is from a base FAMa built in the Tombouctou region last year. So why not Dioura? Dioura is important enough to reoccupying after repeated disasters, but apparently not important enough to send engineering assets to properly fortify. This is the kind of repeated negligence and higher command failure that's been common throughout this war.

🇲🇱While the battle of Anefis was raging, Mali received another shipment of equipment. Deliveries included at least 30 VN2C, 18 VN22B, and numerous logistics vehicles. They won the battle of Anefis and are still rearming. Those wishing for Mali's collapse will be waiting a long time.

🇧🇫 Finally got info on Solhan, Burkina Faso, another defeat suffered by JNIM on this day. Abou 30 motorcycles and weapons recovered. JNIM attempted coordinated attacks on Gayéri, Solhan, Sebba, and Todori in Niger. But it failed horribly, with the heaviest blow at Gayéri

🇲🇱 Images from Anefis today. The convoy arrived 10:50pm on Thursday. Skip to 1 min, there is Col. Maïga, giving a interview after arriving in Anefis. I point this out because JNIM/FLA claimed he died enroute from Gao, then propaganda accounts reported it with no proof.

🇧🇫 Burkina Faso's Minister of War's speech at Gen. Camara's funeral. "My General, we pledge our determination to continue the fight against terrorism until final victory, as long as God grants us the breath of life. We will hunt down your killers to their last refuge."
