One thing I miss from the 1970s and early 80s is the ITV Regional Football. A local game from your region, then highlights of two other games from the regional network. If you were lucky enough and had Rediffusion, you could pull in a signal from another region and their local programme. With no TV saturation like today!

ITV were allotted the game, but decided against showing it due to the ongoing Falklands War and fear of a public backlash. #WorldCup #Belgium #Argentina
