I love seeing other people who get it. Too much of Mario Kart World’s discourse has been permeated by people who refuse to grasp that this game’s design philosophy is fundamentally different than previous Mario Kart games and they refuse to engage with it properly as a result.

The stuff you can do in this game is just so crazy

The movement mechanics in this game are just so well designed. There’s always an opportunity to apply them in some emergent, player-driven manner and the tracks/items facilitate it so, so well. Free roam also does an excellent job accustoming the player to this

Since OP didn’t explain, I will. Panel 1: Sonic is acting conceited when recalling the compliments he recieved. Sonic is generally quite humble and actually awkward with compliments. Panel 2: Sonic does not actively chase a recurring foe. This isn’t his day job, adventure is.

The Mario Kart world version of this is being braindead enough to pick Koopa troopa beach over DK Spaceport. I swear people must do this to troll online because there’s just no way

Correction to this ↓ Sonic feels awkward receiving compliments from people upfront, however he does absolutely view himself in a favourable light, just not arrogantly. Sonic can call himself cool no problem, it’s when other people point it out that he shows how humble he is.

Anyways here’s me, who has only owned the game for a week, frontrunning this exact track, gaining a lead and getting first place through using these strategies in a public 24 player race with items on. If you can never do these strats that’s because you’re bad at Mario Kart.

Sometimes I still think about how in Sonic X, it's revealed at the end of Chris' journey that Sonic could have collected the chaos emeralds in no time, entirely on his own. And yet, he stayed. Thus resulting in the entire show's events. He stayed because he knew Chris needed him.

Motion control being exaggerated and made out to be the worst thing ever only to play it and it literally be fine? Fork found in kitchen.

Omg this game is so good

Boomerang rally is amazing. Having the final lap be the best track in the game with the final thing you do in the entire rally being one of the hardest shortcuts in the game is going to be insanely hype online. This is easily top 3 rallies

Sonic 06 has beautiful concepts for a Sonic story that go so unnoticed by so many It’s one of the few sonic games to put some focus on Sonic as a character I wish this game could get a remake or some form of an adaptation None of it is fundamentally flawed, just lacks quality

Bubsy 4D is a day one purchase

This is why I love video game demos. Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a game I had literally 0 interest in before randomly deciding to download the demo on Switch 2 and now I’m hooked. The world is interesting. The characters are gripping. The gameplay is great. I’m buying this game.
