A D.C. woman was arrested in the apartment building where she pays a monthly rent to live in. She told 7News the Channel Square Apartments called police on her after she tried to teach tenants about their rights. Tenants told 7News they feel this is retaliation for their reports and complaints about conditions inside.

7News spoke with that man Monday; his name is Rafael Jauregui and he said he had taken his seven kids to the Nationals-Orioles game Saturday, then bought them dinner at the Chipotle. The five youngest kids, ranging in age from a four-year-old girl to a 14-year old boy, were with Rafael in the restaurant when he says a fight broke out. A Maryland mother who believed she had received her young son’s cremated remains is now grieving his loss all over again after an expert determined the ashes she was given are not human. 7News' cameras were rolling as an all-out brawl took place inside the Navy Yard Chipotle on 1st St., SE, Saturday night, with chairs being thrown and used as weapons. Ken Ledet, who lives in the Navy Yard, told 7News he has seen chaotic scenes like this in recent months. “It’s not shocking anymore, since this has become routine on Saturdays and Friday nights, but it’s disappointing to know this is still happening," Ledet said. The family of a teenage boy is still devastated a week after he was gunned down while visiting a food truck in Northeast D.C. At just 14, Tyale Coates was learning and planning to take over his grandfather’s t-shirt business. His family admits he was sheltered. They did everything to keep him safe. D.C. Mayor Bowser says she is "disappointed" after a chaotic Saturday night involving hundreds of teens and young adults in D.C.’s Navy Yard turned violent. Police say more than 200 young people gathered before fights broke out. A 15-year-old was arrested after allegedly firing gunshots into the air.
