Playing around with World Labs' 3D generator and combining it with Runway vid2vid to blend myself and the background better. Although it's only a side perspective, you can tell it doesn't have that static image feel because of how the 3D environment is moving.

As someone who likes blending AI with traditional techniques, I often get criticism from both sides, it’s not ‘AI enough’ for the AI community, and I’m ‘cheating’ according to the anti-ai crowd. Sometimes I really do feel like an outsider half-breed. But it’s okay, I love making this stuff. ❤️

“The Last Meatball” Animation: jboogx.creative & enigmatic_e Movement: jboogx.creative & enigmatic_e Reference Imagery: FLUX on Civitai Jboogx and I have known each other for the better part of the last 12 months. I think we've both been inspired by each other's work and dedication to exploring all the ways we can push these tools to their limits for VFX and animation. We didn't want to force a collaboration, but recently, Jboogx was inspired by the work I've been doing and how I incorporate myself into my animations. This idea is a playful take on 'Atlas carrying the boulder,' but with a twist—let's make Atlas out of spaghetti and the boulder a meatball, to fit more with what Jboogx has been doing on the food side of things lately (shoutout to our good friend James Gerde -@gerdegotit @gerdedoesit @gerdemadeit, who did the first spaghetti animation). Since I was going to record myself, it wouldn't have been right if Jboogx didn't as well! This is just a taste of what’s possible. I'm located in Germany, and Jboogx is in Hawaii. A world apart, and we pulled this together in 48 hours. BTS coming soon 😉

Another example of using masking to add elements into a scene. For this one, I used ComfyUI with Wan 2.2 Animate and masking to fill in the area where Wolverine’s mask would be. For me, using AI in subtle, surgical ways is the key. It helps keep things more convincing instead of feeling overdone. I know people will nitpick it, and that’s fine. I’m just excited to explore what feels like the future of VFX.

Painted sections of my face with face paint and used them to guide where the AI effect would appear. Using Wan 2.2 Animate in ComfyUI, I turned those areas into a robotic endoskeleton while leaving much of the original footage untouched. It's far from perfect, you'll notice some wiggles and lighting mismatches, but I love the idea of using AI to enhance real footage rather than replacing it entirely. Keeping those real-world elements can help effects feel more grounded while also opening up interesting possibilities for previs and creative experimentation.

Testing out this LTX 2.3 LoRA for removing objects blocking a shot. There’s still a bit of jitter when the face goes out of view, but coming from shooting weddings, I definitely would’ve tried using this to save shots when something was blocking my view.

Funny how understanding what each tool can do builds the confidence to experiment, even with things I hadn’t tried before but had a feeling would work. For this one, I used WaN 2.1 Vace in ComfyUI, Pika, Higgsfield, and After Effects to bring it all together.
