A perfect game. Perfect witnesses. If you ever needed proof — there’s magic in baseball. ⚾️ On July 18, 1999, David Cone threw a perfect game in front of the Yankees (and World Series) first perfect battery mates. Perhaps as poetry would have wrote it, the first pair threw out the ceremonial first pitch that day. ✨ David Cone #yankees #davidcone #joegirardi #donlarsen #yogiberra

Sometimes social media gives you discourse. Sometimes it gives you moments like this. A Twitter follower trusted me with some of his most prized Yankees possessions, and somehow this is not the first time that’s happened. I truly don’t have the words for how much it means to be seen as a loyal enough fan that someone knows these pieces of history will be loved, protected, and passed down with care. Let’s see what showed up in the mail. 🤍⚾️ #mlb #baseball #yankees
