Mao called for people to "civilize the mind and make savage the body." Real leadership comes from discipline, and communists need discipline and strength to face the problems the American working people deal with.

Yesterday, our local DSA chapter hosted an event "MAGA Communism and Red Brown Alliances” that was fully dedicated to smearing the ACP. In their presentation, they misrepresented our party line, maligned us, and lumped us in with people with whom we have no association. The ACP is a Marxist-Leninist Party dedicated to class struggle, the end of imperialism, and the establishment of worker rule, but the DSA wants to waste time calling the Party fascistic all while they back the genocidal Democratic Party and receive billionaire funding. We encourage you to read our Party Program to understand and engage with our actual positions instead of accepting out-of-context information that aligns with state department narratives even if those sources themselves claim to be Marxists.

ACP Florida was in Downtown Miami, where other Americans are standing up against a U.S. regime that increasingly rules through lawless, brute force. We reject war, intervention, and the violation of Venezuela’s right to self-determination. What does it look like to actually clean up your neighborhood? We started by clearing trash from the busy bus stops, and a few young people passing by stepped in to help. We also spoke with a local Army veteran who now works at Amazon, briefly talking about current events and how they affect people here at home. Then we moved to a recently cleared homeless encampment that had been left in unsafe conditions. We removed buckets of human waste, collected used needles, and hauled away a massive amount of trash.

This week, our comrades visited Praxis Submission Fighting, a combat sports gym for the people opened by REAL in Orlando. Here, self-defense is treated as it should be: a fundamental skill for the working class, a means of building collective confidence, and a form of solidarity in action. ACP and REAL share a common vision of strengthening the links between physical preparedness and political education. To everyone in Orlando: Your body is your own. Learn to defend it.
