ON THIS DAY - 2009 Aberdeen 1-5 Sigma Olomouc The Dons suffered their worst ever European home defeat. A disaster at Pittodrie in front of 13,973 fans, 203 of them from Olomouc. This was Gothenburg legend Mark McGhee’s first match in charge of Aberdeen. Sadly, it turned out to be a sign of things to come, as McGhee would go on to become the worst manager in AFC history.
