The final play of the high school football season in Minnesota was a memorable one. 4th and goal in OT, Chanhassen's touchdown pass from Brayden Windschitl to Kade Bush won a state championship. Storm Football beats STA 34-31 for their first state title in program history.

Fridley's Kaleb Blaha just cemented his all-time legacy in River Falls. This TD pass to Blake Rohrer was Blaha's 5th of the game, and put Falcon Football up with less than a minute to go! 520 passing yards for Blaha, that's a school record.

After St. Cloud Cathedral's state championship win Saturday, head coach Robert Stocker dedicated the victory to CHS alumni Mack Motzko. Both missed the 2019 state title at Cathedral, but not this time. Mack was killed by a drunk driver in 2021.

Most Vikings fans remember Blair Walsh's "wide left" from 27 yards against Seattle. Alexandria's Daniel Jackson was 10 when he saw that. He wrote Blair Walsh a letter, Walsh wrote him back and it launched Jackson's dream of kicking in the NFL. It's not that farfetched anymore.

This was one of the most anticipated wrestling matches in MSHSL history. 195lbs Max McEnelly (Waconia) vs. Ryder Rogotzke (Stillwater). Both have been ranked No. 1 nationally, Rogotzke even went up a class to get a shot at McEnelly at State. Worth the hype, McEnelly won 3-2.

Bloomington's Jake Irvin will pitch against the Twins on Sunday, and I'll be cheering for him. He's thanked the Twins for sparking his love of the game as a kid. When he toes the rubber at Target Field, he’ll have officially pitched in all 30 MLB ballparks.
