Very common. I’ve seen whole carriages where every single window is smashed. British transport police basically don’t exist anymore. If you want more people to use trains this stuff should anger you.

The account that posted this on Instagram said the police were called. They proceeded to give a police reference number and….not turn up. In large parts of the country the police simply no longer exist. It’s not just resources. It’s personnel.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen British police this shabbily organised. Handful of random coppers with nato helmets just in front of a house? What on earth.

This is Waterlooville, in Hampshire. My wife’s friend took this video and was kind enough to let me share it. While politicians and the London media live in a parallel universe this is reality for much of UK. Economic malaise &amp; high streets that look like a zombie film.

It seems clear to me that Mark Rowley, the Met Commissioner, lied in public communications. I think that’s a resigning offence, personally. Why should young kids respect authority, and obey the rules - like they should - when top cops lie?
