This woman Maira Iftikhar, who has gone crazy with power, along with her guards beat two young girls for merely honking at her. She is reportedly a senior executive at Malik Riaz’s Bahria Town, and the incident happened at Bahria Town Lahore a few days ago. Still there has been no reaction from the police. The girls are traumatized for life, the powerful seem to be truly untouchable in this country.

Veteran writer & satirist Anwar Maqsood has requested the Prime Minister to revive his theatre play "House Arrest" after its NOC was revoked. One joke/dialogue reportedly offended the team of PM Shehbaz Sharif, leading to the cancellation of the NOC. "House Arrest" by Kopykat Productions (of “Sawa 14 August” and “Siachin” fame) used humor to highlight women’s property rights. The play was sold out for a month, & now young artists & organizers face uncertainty and financial losses. A man in Faisalabad filed a complaint against a local cleric regarding a rape attempt on his 12-year-old son. In the first video below, he is giving details on how he caught the culprit red-handed. The local cleric was arrested, but then came a twist in the story when an influential Molana, Ibtisam Zaheer, stepped in and resolved the matter between the arrested cleric and the victim's father, accused was released right after. In an updated statement , the father of the victim says, "I forgive the culprit to please God." Molvi Ibtisaam, the mediator, is now criticizing those speaking out against child abuse and is being welcomed by like-minded bigots. What a joke! #childabuse #Pakistan

Disgraceful & unacceptable!!! Imran Khan’s elderly sisters were out protesting & instead of showing restraint, police mistreated them. They were never in politics but when everything fell apart, they stood like a rock for their brother. Historically, Pakistani women have shown such remarkable courage knowing state will use force. And one question for PTI: where was party’s top leadership when his sisters were staging a sit-in outside Adiala?? Are they on their own?

Filth in the name of politics. One can't help but feel sad for the people of KP. He is Imran Khan’s personal choice to rule the province and the poster boy for his ongoing battle. In a single speech, he has triggered racial sentiments and provoked the crowd (mostly from KP) against journalists. PTI supporters should be offended. Even worse is that Punjab gov ministers are resorting to the same sort of language to respond to him (ref below) .

When floods don’t respect borders, neither should climate cooperation. India & Pakistan must set aside rivalries & unite when it comes to climate action. This is just a glimpse of how blasphemy gang lawyers showed blatant disregard for the court throughout the hearing. Hats off to Justice Ishaq Khan & BRAVE legal team of the victims, Imaan Zainab Mazari-Hazir , Hadi Ali Chattha & others,who stood up to the fraudsters responsible for sending over 700 young men to jail through honey traps. Hoping the commission works as effectively to deliver complete justice.
