AOC on a movie that made her cry PabloReports: When’s the last time a piece of art—film, music, whatever—made you cry? AOC: Okay, let me go with the worst time one made me cry. I was on an airplane watching… what is that movie? The one about aliens with a linguist? Arrival. With Amy Adams. I was on a plane. I was literally going to a rally or something like that. This was a while ago. And I was watching Arrival on the plane. I had no idea that it was that emotional. And I don’t even cry like that at movies. On the plane, sobbing, dude. I had to put sunglasses on. Then the movie ends as the plane is landing. They go, “Bing bong,” whatever—seatbelt sign, you can unplug it. So everyone’s standing up, and I’m like… I put the sunglasses on. It was so embarrassing. But really good. Really, really good. Arrival.

Trump: I know about sports and I know about a little bit about soccer, but I watched Messi and he was well guarded… And all of a sudden he's standing on the right. Do you understand what I'm talking about? I just noticed it. Nobody talked about it. I just noticed it

Sanders: In all due respect to Congresswoman Stevens, everyone knows that this is not an election between her and Abdul El-Sayed. This is an election between Abdul and the billionaire class. That is what this election is about. A billionaire class which has already—and there are two weeks left to go in the election—already spent $50 million against him. Now, I want everybody here throughout the state, people turning on their TVs and seeing all these ads, I want you to ask yourself a simple question: Why are the richest people in the country spending tens and tens of millions of dollars to defeat Abdul El-Sayed? Why does the billionaire class feel that they need to outspend him in this election 12 to 1? Twelve to one. What are they afraid of? And the answer is obvious: They understand quite correctly that when Abdul is elected to the Senate, he will work with me and other progressives in taking on the greed of the billionaire class. That’s what the billionaires are afraid of and they should be afraid.

Haberman: The administration signed a mining deal with Kazakhstan for a little known U.S. Company. Six days before the deal was signed, the president's older son with other partners and took a 20% investment in the company related to the deal. What did the president know about his son's involvement in this arrangement and when did he find out about it? Leavitt: From my understanding, nothing. They would never do anything they would put the president in the place of a conflict of interest Haberman: So he did not learn about it until it was in the media? Leavitt: That’s my understanding.

Trump: The CHIPS Act…. if you weren't transgender as an example, you didn't qualify, so they get the money, they look all over for transgender people to run the company, they couldn't find them. They weren't into the chip making business, I guess, right? They had other things on their mind.

FOX on Troop Deaths: The White House called a lid, meaning we do not expect to see or hear from the president in any public appearances for the rest of the day. I have met some people here in Bridgewater who say they are attending a black-tie summer bash at Bedminster. It’s worth noting that the president does hold fundraisers on different weekends at his facilities.

Kaitlan Collins says usually they hear complaints from The White House when CNN doesn’t carry President Trump’s remarks…. And they didn’t hear any complaints today. Collins: Normally, if there's a moment where we don't take the president's comments in full, we hear about it from the white house, they complain about it. We didn't hear any complaints really today. I didn't.

James Carville criticizes CNN for not airing President Trump’s speech last night: Blitzer: How would you advise the Democratic Party to handle President Trump's speech last night? Carville: I would advise them to attack CNN, ABC, NBC, because they didn't air the speech. And I think the president acting loonier than a tune is newsworthy. I don't think we should have hidden that from the American people. I think it should have been blanket coverage of it. He's literally off his rocker.

Rick Scott: There's no way they're supposed to be looking at my text messages. This is not the first time. Under the Clinton administration when I opposed Hillary care and was running the biggest hospital in the world, they targeted my company… This is the Democrat playbook.
