In the Summerslam vlog he said he didn't know how to feel about Unreal. This is a man who refuses to be seen w/ his dad outside of WWE going on 3 years now. Dom's on record that he's old school when it comes to kayfabe. He'd rather do media and interviews in character, but he's polite enough that if he gets asked something out of character he'll answer it. He kinda weaves in and outta character in interviews where sometimes I think fans don't know when he's being for real about stuff, which I love.

Figured it out. It's Dominik's redemption arc. They've been hinting since November. -Cena: "He's a good kid." -Balor: "I'm responsible for creating you. Now I'm responsible for destroying you." -Rey: "As long as I'm around you'll never be the greatest Mysterio." Cena calling Dom a good kid, something that softens Dom's heel character. Finn's promo specifically points to Dom turning on Rey and that Finn regrets his mistake with Dom. And Rey's promo emphasizes "as long as I'm around."

SRS was asked a viewer question recently if Dom got heat backstage after speaking publicly about his booking to which he answered no & that everyone he talks to in WWE loves Dom. This is consistent w/ what I've always heard. He's over-the-top respectful & professional with everyone backstage. For a guy who's religiously in character, this Summerslam Vlog caught Dominik the person behind Dominik Mysterio the character...Just minutes before his match he went up to Matt & Jeff Hardy and said, "I just wanted to come and say hi." He joked around w/ staff and with Andrade's kid. He's genuinely a good dude.

Dominik interview w/ Italian publication Esse Magazine. Dom is ALWAYS polite and professional but I've NEVER seen him be this vocal. This is a big deal for even him to say this. He says it in a respectful way here too however I can feel his frustration 😢 The interviewer asks him why he isn't on the Clash in Italy card because fans there want to see him. Also asks him why he isn't going after championships and using him more.
