Peter Okoye’s wife, Lola Omotayo-Okoye, has shared how she felt when her husband surprised her with a Range Rover SUV at their house in Park View, Lagos during the week. Lola, who was away at work, got a surprise call from her husband telling her to rush home because he had a special gift to present to her. “Well, I'm really... I'm super excited. I can't really even... I'm really shy, so don't take my shyness for not being surprised. I'm surprised and really, really excited. I can't believe it,” Lola Omotayo-Okoye said. When asked about what could have motivated her husband to surprise her, Lola said: “All my hard work na, all these years. I deserve it (laughs happily). Peter, I love you very, very much. Yesterday, a man was murdered in broad daylight by officers of the Nigerian Police Force in Delta State. Story: He had gone to a park to collect a parcel. The park leaders asked him to open it for inspection. Upon opening the parcel, they found a pistol and four live rounds of ammunition. They immediately restrained him and called the police. The police arrived under the command of an officer identified as Nuhu (also known as Ogbegbe) and were instructed to take the suspect to the police station. Instead of doing so, the officer opened fire on him, killing him before he could be taken to the station. The Force Headquarters in Abuja has ordered the arrest of Officer Nuhu and directed that he be brought in to face disciplinary action.
