What is “Maata – Manthi”? Discussion and Decision Maata – Manthi is a grassroots-level participatory program initiated with the vision of inclusive village development. The phrase “Maata – Manthi” literally translates to “Discussion and Decision”, and the program reflects this spirit by involving villagers directly in conversations about their needs, challenges, and developmental priorities. The core idea behind this initiative is simple yet powerful: meaningful dialogue with the people, by the people, for the betterment of the village. Through open forums and community gatherings, residents share their concerns, offer suggestions, and become active participants in decision-making processes. This program was launched by Deputy CMO, Andhra Pradesh Sri #PawanKalyan Garu with the intention of: •Connecting directly with villagers to understand their everyday struggles and aspirations. •Involving citizens in governance by making them stakeholders in the planning and implementation of development activities. •Ensuring transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in the execution of welfare and infrastructure projects. •Utilizing modern technology to bridge communication gaps and provide timely solutions. “Maata – Manthi begins here, in Ravivalasa village, Srikakulam district, as a symbol of collective effort for progress — not just for your village, but for our village.
