I did a (big) experiment to create a NES ROM converter for Master System. It's still an experiment, but it already converts Super Mario and Castlevania (I don't have the other mappers yet). But as it is automatic and without manual optimizations, it needs an overclocked emulator to run. It also has some insights that might be interesting about development and research using LLMs (obviously I used claudinho, astra, kimi, etc. in the process).
