A dog in Rishikesh went viral this week for saving children. 🐕 The video is lovely. A German Shepherd sits on a balcony, watching the street below. Children run past. A street dog follows them. The Shepherd leaps down and chases it away. The internet named him Dogesh and called him a bodyguard. But here is the honest part: → We do not know what that dog was thinking. → A dog defending its territory looks exactly like a dog defending children. → One viewer thought he was trained. Another thought it was instinct. Nobody actually knows. And I find I do not mind. Because the reason this clip travelled so far has very little to do with the dog. It went viral because we are exhausted. Every conversation about dogs in this country has become a fight. Courts, shelters, feeders, resident associations, bite statistics. Everyone furious, nobody satisfied. And then a video appears where a dog is simply protecting a child, and thirty seconds of that felt like relief.
