“I’m hurt. I’m deeply hurt.” It’s a voice that everyone who goes to a Florida State football game knows. Woody Hayes spoke to WCTV Eyewitness News how he was blindsided by the University’s decision to relieve him of his public announcer duties at Doak, but especially, how he found out.

"It's my great pleasure to introduce Bobby Bowden, the new head football coach at Florida State University, and may his stay be a long and successful one." Fifty years ago today, FSU hired Bobby Bowden. Little did they know how long, and how successful, that stay would be!

There's been a lot of chatter about money games over the last week. Florida A&M lost 77-7 to Miami, and today, I asked head coach Quinn Gray his thoughts on them. His answer? They're needed, especially as it relates to finances & where they want to go from a budget standpoint.

Spent yesterday talking to Big Bend coaches and administrators about the new Open Division in Florida. Some are excited about it, others are not. The general consensus? We'll have to wait and see what happens, because ready or not, the Open Division is here.

I asked FAMU head softball coach Brittany Beall about the legacy her seniors have left, and her answer wraps up the impact they have had on this program this year and hopefully beyond.

As I sign off at WTXL for the final time, know that you've impacted my life as much as I hope we've impacted yours, and remember, don't just exist. Always live with purpose.

The Jefferson County football program is one with a lot of history, but a lack of consistency hasn’t been kind to the once powerful program, and that’s something new head coach Toney Powell is looking to change. Tonight on Starting Lineup, new Tiger head coach Tony Powell.
