🇯🇵 Takumi Minamino’s speech to his Japan teammates ahead of the Netherlands match: “I am truly happy to be here, and I am proud to be able to fight alongside all of you. I want all of us to go into this World Cup without ever forgetting that we are still challengers. I don’t think we are yet a team that can face a side like the Netherlands without that challenger mindset. It was the same at the previous FIFA World Cup, but I want all of us to carry that feeling of being challengers and aim to get through the group stage. We have three matches to play, but first of all, starting today, we have to make the best possible preparations for the opening match. We will give everything we have, as if our lives depend on it, to achieve the best possible result. I’m also going to do everything I can, so let’s fight together. Thank you very much.”
