I didn’t realize how much my job was affecting me. I made good money but it wasn’t in alignment with what I wanted for my life. So I was stressed, tired and “always on”. 4 week ago I quit to put all my energy into consulting and creating. Today we got caught in a typical Miami afternoon monsoon. Two months ago I would have been racing to the car to be on slack or zoom. Today we stopped and danced. And enjoyed life a bit more.

Another day, another viral TikTok with incredible brand response. This woman bought a rain jacket from The North Face and was hiking in the rain in Australia where she complained she was absolutely soaked despite the rain jacket saying it was waterproof. Her request? Meet me at the top of the mountain and bring me a new coat. The video got 10.3M views. The team at North Face quickly replied with a video showing a guy grabbing a new jacket at the North Face store, jumping on a helicopter and bringing it to Jenn. Another example of great social listening + speed to response! This is a masterclass in turning a unsatisfied customer into millions of impressions with positive brand sentiment. First they called it “quiet quitting” Now they call it “quiet vacationing” Know what’s not quiet? How tired millennials are of BS corporate culture. We tried climbing the ladder and we still can’t buy houses or save for retirement. Agree with Peter Guse on this one. Out: Giving everything for a company who doesn’t care about you. In: Work that enables you to feel fulfilled in and out of the “office” Agree?

Totally agree with this 2024 marketing prediction. Influencer marketing as we know it will start to fade as consumer trust of sponsored content declines. Influencers will instead be used to generate curiosity and passive awareness. (Think telling a dating story while putting on Charlotte Tilbury)
