Transaction narration will not save us 100% from paying tax. Your narration must align with your transaction volume and frequency. If you transfer ₦5m and label it “food,” what exactly is the recipient eating, a whole cow every day? If in one month you make 30 transactions totaling ₦100m and 80–90% are tagged “gift,” “upkeep,” or “debt,” These people no dumb too. The focus is not on people doing ₦5k and ₦10k transfers. Tax enforcement targets high-volume, high-value transactions. The whales, not the regular citizens except you’re involved in large transfers, then you go need to explain the source of wealth.
