As an older guy myself, I can say this with confidence: It's not ageism to suggest that there's an age, once reached, when politicians shouldn't be making decisions that impact millions of lives. Citizens have a right and a responsibility to demand full cognitive abilities.

Having a falling out with family members over moral issues disguised as politics is an epidemic in the US right now. It's very similar to the divisions seen in families during the Civil War. There is one common theme, and it's discussed in this video: MAGA Cult Members (and this is a central theme to Cults) care more about what those in the Cult (what they often refer to as their community) than even their closest friend or relative. Even their own children. This can be devastating to the non-MAGAs effected, but surprisingly reassuring to those in MAGA, which only deepens the divisions and the pain. Tribalism is a powerful influencer on behavior.

I'm getting a vibe from Jon Ossoff I used to get from Pete Buttigieg. Something has changed in Pete. He doesn't look like he's enjoying what he does anymore. Low energy. Jon is connecting, he's on the rise in the Democratic Party. BTW - Gavin Newsom is not the answer.

When the Trump Cult collapses, (all cults collapse), there will be 3 psychological reasons people will claim they never supported him. It's important for you to remember who did. If they don't pay a price for their actions, they are very likely to repeat them.
