The Senedd was a shambles this week. Plaid Cymru separatists couldn’t get their budget through. They’re struggling with the powers they’ve got. Rhun ap Iorwerth says it’s “disgraceful” broadcasting isn’t being devolved. It isn’t. More powers is the last thing he needs.

Under Labour, 2,000 people die a year in Wales from poor air quality. It costs our NHS £1billion! But the priority of Labour ministers in the Senedd is bringing Sturgeon’s Gender Recognition Bill to Wales (which thankfully isn’t devolved) 😡 Time to focus on the day job 👍

The Conservatives’ Levelling Up Fund will bring £208million of projects to Wales, like the Cardiff Bay Rail Link. To make it happen, ministers must get on with the job 💪 They’re right to deal with councils directly, not add an extra layer going through Welsh Government first.

Let’s be clear: no party or candidate is entitled to anybody’s vote. Yesterday, a large number of people who previously voted Conservative voted Reform instead. Others who previously lent us their support voted for Labour, the Lib Dems or other parties. So I have no time for those who argue that other parties are to blame for the result. Regardless of the party they voted for, throughout the campaign I heard the same message from people who said they wouldn’t vote Conservative this time. It was that we’d let them down. We made promises in 2019 on things like controlling immigration, but delivered the opposite. They said we indulged in ourselves rather than focusing on their priorities. And they were rightly angry. But people also told me that, if we changed, and focused on the issues that matter to them instead of looking inwardly, they would consider voting Conservative again. Winning back that support won’t be easy. It will require the Party to change. We must show people that we’re not on the side of elites or the establishment, and will put the interests of ordinary British people first. But if we do that, I’m confident we can regain the British people’s trust and win next time. That starts with saying sorry. And meaning it.

Discussion on BBC Radio Wales just now, laughing and joking while discussing how they're looking forward to seeing Kneecap perform. Shocking. A member of this group is currently facing terror charges. They've repeated IRA chants. Unacceptable content from our national broadcaster.
