Canada allows farmed animals to suffer in transit 💔 Animals are deprived of food, water, & rest for long journeys, up to 36hrs for some species, & subjected to extreme heat & cold. Canada's weak transport rules leave animals without basic protections—& industry pressure helps keep it that way.

BREAKING: 6 beluga whales have been removed from Marineland & exported to the US. Sierra, Acadia, Osiris, & Lillooet are being transferred to Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. Bertie Botts & Frankie are being transferred to SeaWorld San Antonio. It’s ILLEGAL to breed captive whales in Canada under national laws to end whale captivity. Our lawyers are deeply concerned that these whales could be bred at their new locations, condemning future generations to suffer in tiny tanks. These surviving whales deserved sanctuary, not further cruelty in captivity. 🎥 TideBreakers

Shocking footage shows wild animals being displayed in poor conditions at the Wildlife Festival in Red Deer, Alberta. The Festival allows public handling, putting both animals & people at risk. Animal Justice has submitted a legal complaint to the Alberta SPCA, urging them to investigate & protect these animals.

BREAKING: Another sick beluga at #Marineland 💔🐳 The whale is being kept isolated in a shallow tank. The tanks are disgusting & filled with algae. We've filed a legal complaint with authorities demanding an urgent investigation into the park's deteriorating conditions.
