एक-दो दिन पहले एक वीडियो देखा, जिसमें कोई मंत्री जी मंच पर दलेर मेहंदी जी से जिस तरह बात कर रहे थे, उसे देखकर बहुत दुख हुआ। मैं दलेर जी को बहुत सालों से जानता हूँ। यह भी जानता हूँ कि पिछले कुछ समय से उनकी तबीयत ठीक नहीं रही है। मंत्री जी, आपको उनकी प्रस्तुति से शिकायत हो सकती है। नाराज़गी भी हो सकती है। लेकिन सबके सामने मंच पर जाकर इस तरह उन्हें अपमानित करना ज़रूरी था क्या? यही बात उनसे अलग बैठकर, इज़्ज़त से भी तो कही जा सकती थी। एक कलाकार अपनी मेहनत से जो पहचान और सम्मान कमाता है, उसके पीछे पूरी ज़िंदगी लगी होती है। दलेर जी ने पिछले तीस-पैंतीस सालों से अपने गानों से हम सबको ख़ुशी दी है। उस योगदान की कुछ तो क़द्र होनी चाहिए। दलेर जी, मैंने आपको हमेशा एक नेकदिल, प्यार बाँटने वाले इंसान के रूप में जाना है। जहाँ तक मैं आपको जानता हूँ, आप शराब भी नहीं पीते। आपको यह सब सहना पड़ा, इसका मुझे बहुत अफ़सोस है। अपनी इंडस्ट्री के साथियों से भी कहना चाहूँगा—जो लोग दलेर जी को जानते हैं, वे अपनी बात ज़रूर रखें। उनके साथ खड़े हों। किसी के अच्छे स्वभाव के बारे में, उसकी इंसानियत के बारे में अपने अनुभव से दो शब्द कहना भी बहुत मायने रखता है। ऐसे वक़्त में एक साथी के लिए इतना तो हम कर ही सकते हैं। दलेर जी, आप बेहतरीन कलाकार हैं और उतने ही प्यारे इंसान भी। अपना ख़याल रखिए। भगवान आपको अच्छी सेहत दे। मेरा प्यार और सम्मान हमेशा आपके साथ है। 🙏❤️

But for me, the ’80s and ’90s will always be a golden period of Hindi cinema. There was such affection, togetherness and an ease with one another. We worked hard, but we also laughed so much. ये रघु जी हैं। इन्होंने ‘द कश्मीर फाइल्स’ देखने के बाद, अमेरिका में ‘जाने पहचाने अनजाने’ के एक शो के दौरान मुझे भगवान शिव की यह अनोखी, हस्तनिर्मित लकड़ी की कलाकृति भेंट की। उनके इस आत्मीय और उदार भाव ने मुझे बहुत भावुक कर दिया। पहली नज़र में इसमें भगवान शिव का भव्य स्वरूप दिखाई देता है, लेकिन ध्यान से देखने पर इसके भीतर कश्मीर का एक लंबा और पीड़ादायक इतिहास उभरकर सामने आता है। शिव की आकृति में चन्द्रमौली, नीलकंठ, भैरव, पशुपति, नटराज, त्रिपुरारी, गौरीशंकर, स्वयंभू और शंकर जैसे अनेक नाम बड़ी बारीकी से उकेरे गए हैं। साथ ही त्रिशूल और शिवलिंग की आकृतियों में कश्मीर के प्राचीन शिव मंदिरों और तीर्थस्थलों के नाम समाए हुए हैं—उन मंदिरों की स्मृति, जिन्हें अलग-अलग समय में नष्ट कर दिया गया। भगवान शिव के कंठ पर 1389–1413, 1586–1753, 1819–1947 और 1989–1990 जैसे कालखंड अंकित हैं। ये केवल तारीख़ें नहीं हैं; ये कश्मीरी पंडितों पर हुए अत्याचार, उनके बार-बार हुए विस्थापन और अंततः अपनी ही जन्मभूमि से निकाले जाने के दर्दनाक अध्यायों की ओर संकेत करते हैं।🥹 ऐतिहासिक शोध, संवेदना और अद्भुत कारीगरी से बनी यह कलाकृति मेरे लिए केवल एक उपहार नहीं, बल्कि इतिहास का साक्ष्य और स्मृति का प्रतीक है। आपका हृदय से धन्यवाद, रघु जी। आपने मुझे बहुत भावुक और अभिभूत कर दिया। यह कलाकृति उन लोगों से भी बहुत कुछ कहती है, जिन्होंने आज तक कश्मीरी पंडितों की पीड़ा और उनके सच को पूरी तरह स्वीकार नहीं किया है। यह केवल लकड़ी पर उकेरी गई तस्वीर नहीं है—यह आस्था, इतिहास, विस्थापन और स्मृति की एक जीवित कहानी है! ओम नमः शिवाय! ❤️🕉🥹
