One of the most false narratives in the LeBron fan library is that the Spurs put all 5 guys on LeBron. It's absolutely retarded. When Tim Duncan said "we used all 5 guys to guard him," he was talking about help defense. LeBron was a HEAVY high screen and roll spammer back then and his jumper was broke, so all the Spurs did was put Bruce Bowen in his face and have a big show high to prevent him from driving off the screen and roll. Look at the video below and watch how many times Duncan or another Spurs big jumps out on the pick and roll to prevent or discourage the drive, and then get back to their man. Plus they converged on LeBron in the paint. BASIC HELP DEFENSE. They turned LeBron into a shooter and he couldn't shoot. That's why he shot 36/20/69 and they got swept. LeBron fanboys will purposely take a quote out of context and turn it into a completely fake narrative. We all know that in 2009 and 2010, Kobe won and defended championships vs the teams (Orlando & Boston) that beat and broke LeBron, but did you know? that despite getting just 11 total free throws in the series, Bean in 2008, needed just 5 games to whoop the same Spurs that swept LeBron in the previous Finals MVP Bean only got 11 total free throws in a 5 game series and still averaged 29/6/4/2 on 53% shooting, including 39 in the closeout game where 5 of those 11 free throws came.
