The real jobs are in manufacturing the turbines, panels, batteries, inverters, cabling, concrete etc and processing and mining critical minerals. Which is why CHINA is having a jobs boom (Insert me weeping) China manufactures most of the world's solar panels, leads battery production and dominates the refining of critical minerals and its supply chain. So what she means is WE are subsidising CHINESE jobs! Then *sigh*, electricity is only 20% of Britain's total energy use. The other 80% is mostly made up of transport fuels, heating and industry. Importing more Chinese infrastructure doesn't make us energy secure. It makes China richer while she congratulates herself on creating jobs that mostly aren't here. *sob*
