Voter resentment of Dems leftward turn was largely abt perceived focus on cultural issues. So to blanketly apply that to Sanders/Mamdani ignores the class forward nature of their message. The DSA “left” didn’t drive the Dems embrace identity politics wokeness etc. It was really the establishment class, where things like DEI and representation began to displace policies with tangible impact.
