In Saudi Arabia Madain Saleh—once known as Al-Hijr—the land of Thamud, sits cursed in Wadi Al-Qura, between Medina and Tabuk. This was the soil where God’s wrath once thundered, where the arrogant were crushed for defying His sign. The people of Thamud were warned. They were sent Prophet Salih (as), They saw the miracle—a she-camel sent by God Himself. But they butchered it. They defied the divine. And so, the earth trembled, the sky roared, and they were annihilated by a deafening scream—al-sayhah—left in ruins, a lesson carved into stone. Yet today, in that very land, the heedless walk. Not just heedless—godless. They have abandoned their deen, discarded their honor, disfigured their Arab soul, and amputated their humanity. They parade and desecrate sacred ground with hollow joy, while Gaza is being bled dry—slaughtered, severed, limb from limb, child after child, vein by vein. Do they not reflect? "Afala ya'qiloon?" Do they not tremble? "Afala yatadabbaroon?" Or has the curse of Thamud blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts? The stones of Al-Hijr remain—but so do the screams.
