And why should Dia Mirza, as a Muslim be bothered about Hindu rituals? Has she spoken about the rituals of Christianity or Islam ever?

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj commissioned the Rājavyavahārakośa, a lexicon that provided Sanskrit (and Marathi) equivalents for Persian and Arabic administrative terms, precisely to indigenize statecraft. Considering the above, Bajirao Peshwa, would have never used the term “Aurat” (a Persian word) in any formal or colloquial reference to women. A complete fall of Marathi customs! The dialogue writer Prakash Kapadia probably had no sense of history.😑

Whereas, Bajirao married Mastani and wasn't loyal to his wife Kashibai. Bajirao's family couldn't accept Mastani. They were orthodox and followed Brahminical Patriarchy. Look at what happens when temple trusts remain independent: Sri Sharada Peetham in Sringeri just inaugurated a new IPD block at Sri Sharada Dhanvantari Ayurveda Hospital, with rooms named after Maharishis. This is true culture in action: devotion flowing into public welfare. But most of our temples and trusts are chained under government control. Their potential to serve society is stifled. Secularism throttles!

In Guide, Rosie (Waheeda Rehman) is shown as a Devadasi, equated with a prostitute. The film builds on a live-in relationship between Dev Anand and Waheeda, only to end with a Bhagavad Gita quote. 🤷🏽♀️ The Truth: - Hindu kings never saw Devadasis as prostitutes. - Devadasis were respected, honored, and supported. - Their dignity collapsed only after Mohammedan invasions, when patronage was destroyed. The movie normalized live-in culture, misrepresented Devadasis, and even used the Gita as a prop. This is exactly how Bollywood fooled Hindus.
