These claims have been floating around for two days now, and somehow not a single outlet has felt the need to check them against the actual footage. Here is what happened. First, the NYPD was not shutting down a harmless snow day snowball fight. Officers responded after receiving calls about disorderly conduct around the park. Over the loudspeaker, they told people to enjoy themselves and remain inside the park. One officer can clearly be heard encouraging the kids to have fun. They stood back and monitored the situation. Then the snowballs started flying. Not just light powder tossed between friends, but hardened snow and chunks of ice aimed directly at officers. Second, yes, there were kids involved. There were also grown adults in the crowd. Some of them were not calming things down. They were egging it on, urging people to throw ice at uniformed officers. Third, these were not soft, playful snowballs. Many were large, compacted chunks of ice, some the size of a football. Ice like that can break bones and split skin. It did. Officers were hospitalized with facial lacerations. The footage is available for anyone who wants to watch it. When members of the press decline to describe what is plainly visible because it may hurt Mamdani politically, that stops being journalism. It becomes advocacy.

you want to save lives in NYC, start by funding organizations that advocate for people injured or killed by reckless bikers. I’ve been on Amsterdam Ave for five minutes. In that time, I saw three cyclists riding the wrong way and one blowing through a red light. Bike violence is real. And groups like Streetsblog New York City and Transportation Alternatives keep running cover for those who endanger pedestrians and drivers alike. Step one is accountability. Track the injuries and deaths caused by reckless cycling. Right now, that isn’t happening.

I haven’t been around the Intrepid in a while. I went today, and I barely recognized the area. Blocks of homeless encampments. Sidewalks littered with discarded needles and human waste. And with the exception of the New York Post, the NYC Press Corps barely says a word. NYC is turning into San Francisco before our eyes. And spare me the lectures about “compassion.” There is NOTHING compassionate about abandoning mentally ill and drug-addicted people on the street to live in filth while entire neighborhoods deteriorate around them. Calling this compassion is a sick joke. It’s cruel. It’s depraved. And it’s a complete failure of the Mamdani Administration.

Last time you were in charge, you drew red zones around Orthodox neighborhoods, shut our synagogues, and sent in government enforcers. We haven’t forgotten the thousands—young and old—left to suffer alone in New York hospitals, banned from a single visitor because you decided no patient deserved a hand to hold. Some hospitals still follow that cruelty today to some measure. Let’s be real: no Orthodox leader wants you back. They take your meetings out of fear—because they remember how petty, vengeful, and punishing you were as Governor. And they know exactly what you’d do if, God forbid, you ever got power again.
