Bluetooth devices can be weaponized to remotely listen to your conversations within a few minutes. This vulnerability exists in many types and a lot of tests are still being conducted to verify them. Should you see your phone trying to forcibly connect to a bluetooth device you do not know, deny and turn it off for a few minutes. An attacker could just be forcing you into a mode to get unauthorized access to whatever you are saying. BeWare and BeAware

Not all Wi-Fi is safe Wi-Fi. Especially the WPA2 protocols Public networks can be intercepted, meaning someone on the same Wi-Fi could potentially see what you’re doing including login credentials and sensitive data. This is done on an unexpected traffic which they can depreciate your portal or redirect you to a fake login page if you are a primary target. If you’re sending sensitive information: • Use your phone as hotspot • Use a trusted private Wi-Fi • Avoid public networks and forget them when done with it. . If the page looks real or depreciating to HTTP, look again.

AI coding or Vibe coding as they call it these days helps to write code faster has been helping to produce applications really fast. It is great for prototyping but without careful consideration, you might be in for a disaster. There are extra measures to take into consideration to avoid security vulnerabilities which needs going back to basics. Too many applications vibe coded these days are producing vulnerable applications and spilling out sensitive data. We need to avoid them as much as possible by going back to basics

The first thing many of us do when we arrive somewhere is connect to Wi-Fi — airports, cafés, offices, lounges. But here’s the reality: Wi-Fi can be faked. With just a phone, cybercriminals can clone a network, force your device to disconnect from the real one, and redirect you to a fake login page that captures your personal details. Public Wi-Fi isn’t always what it seems. ✔️ Verify network names ✔️ Avoid duplicate hotspots ✔️ Be cautious with “free” Wi-Fi Awareness is your first layer of security. #CyberSecurity #DigitalSafety #PublicWiFi #TechAwareness #InfoSec

IBM reported that 1 in 4 public Wi-Fi hotspots is unsecured. In Nairobi, unsecured café hotspots are a growing target for data interception. Risks include “man in the middle” attacks, credential theft, and malware injection. Best practices: ● Use VPN for sensitive transactions. ● Avoid banking/shopping on public hotspots. ● Default to mobile data when possible. Remember: convenience shouldn’t come at the cost of your privacy. Beware and be aware
