My husband rescued over 100 #toads this morning... Stuck in just a few inches of water, at the bottom of a deep-sided pit under a grate . He walked over the grate a few times before he noticed movement and realised what it was. Thank goodness he was able to reach them!

Spotted on coast path above Talland Bay This rather cute looking dark-edged bee-fly (Bombylius major) is deliberately gathering dust on the tip of her abdomen. The fine dust coating helps give her eggs just enough weight, so when she hovers above the entrance of a ground 1/3

This is the track to our allotments. Last year the land owner kept strimming along the fence, so nothing was able to grow or flower. But this year…. 🌱🌼☘️🌸🌿 Sometimes all you need to do is ask nicely, mention the butterflies & bees, and folk do things differently.
