The Israeli Air and Space Force struck Abu al-Duhur Airbase in Syria, targeting the base where the newly established Syrian Air Force had been working to restore its combat aviation capability. Heavy clashes erupted last night in Suwayda, southern Syria, and continued into this morning, as internal security forces of Ahmad al-Sharaa’s regime attempted to advance into areas controlled by Israeli-backed Druze forces. The Syrian internal security forces, reportedly operating under the direction and coordination of Turkish intelligence, attempted to establish control over several areas around Suwayda but encountered fierce resistance from Druze forces defending the city. The Israeli Air and Space Force also deployed Hermes 450 armed UAVs over the area, reportedly prepared to carry out airstrikes against the Turkish-backed forces of Ahmad al-Sharaa if necessary. However, the Druze forces were able to repel the attacks without requiring Israeli air intervention. The latest fighting has reportedly been among the largest and most intense clashes in Suwayda in recent days. Syrian state media acknowledged that at least 10 members of the Internal Security Forces were wounded, while Druze forces accused government forces of using mortars and 23mm weapons against areas on the western outskirts of Suwayda.

The MiG-29 was preparing to engage an incoming Russian one-way attack drone with an air-to-air missile but the missile malfunctioned during launch. Its rocket motor ignited, but the missile failed to separate properly from its launcher and remained attached beneath the aircraft’s wing. The burning rocket motor subsequently caused serious damage to the MiG-29, leaving the pilot with no option but to eject. Fortunately, the pilot survived, but the valuable MiG-29 was lost and subsequently destroyed.

An #USAF F-16C pilot from the 55th Fighter Squadron outmaneuvered an #Egyptian Rafale DM in a dogfight.
