📝 | ‘Cover Me’ is indeed a beautiful track that deserves all the praise STAYs have been giving it! With that said, a few clarifications are necessary regarding this post. 1st: Melon doesn’t have an official Weibo account, as it is a NAVER platform that is not functional outside of Korea, nor do they invest in foreign publicity. The Weibo account in the screenshot is called “Let’s review the song”, and the PFP is only to indicate that they focus on K-pop. All posts on that account are actually sent in by followers and posted by the admin as a way to hype the song for a bigger audience. It works like a forum and anyone can send in their submissions to be posted. 2nd: The automatic translation in the screenshot does not reflect what was actually written. It is true that Hyunjin made brilliant work with the lyrics and topline composition, but it’s always worth mentioning that he did not do it ‘alone’. In fact, as he said in the intro for “ROCK-STAR”, he and Bang Chan worked on it as a duo: Chan and Nickko Young had already came up with the final instrumental (the track), and Hyunjin came up with the topline (first verse) and hook (in this case, the chorus). Chan has written and composed the second verse (the bridge and the grand finale/outro). After finishing it together, they recorded the demo version in Chan’s studio. ‘Cover Me’ is good enough on its own to be praised without misinformation and Hyunjin has never needed (nor wanted) for Chan to be erased for him to shine since his talent speaks for itself. Let’s all be more careful in the future.

There is a noticeable decrease of Bang Chan's appearance in the talker episodes from a long time but especially so in the recent episodes which is alarming to see. It has come to the point where we barely get any contents of Chan in such videos posted by the official accounts. In this episode, we are even able to see a noticeable cut when Chan was filmed which brings us to a conclusion that Chan is being deliberately cut off from such videos when he is a member of Stray Kids as well. We ask of you to start treating Bang Chan better and to film him equally for STAYs.
