Another thing I found really neat in this Card Captor Sakura game was the little card "screen" they made with sprites to show Sakura's fight while you play as Tomoyo! It's such a creative way to give the player a pseudo-time limit!

Today I am once again thinking about what "Ojousama Express" for PS1/Saturn does when you toggle voices on/off in the settings.

Got my hands on several short but incredible behind-the-scenes videos for a handful of eroge studios that I'm really excited to get uploaded soon! Here's a small taste... 👀

Rather than using animated lip flaps, "Heroine Dream" for PS1 makes huge honkin speakers bounce to show you that a character is speaking &amp; I love it for that.

1995 PC-98 title "Gakuen Sodom ~Kyoushitsu no Mesu Dorei-tachi~" featured dialog choices that had to be made under the pressure of a time limit. Staying silent also counted as a valid choice. This title released a year before "Sakura Wars" which featured a similar "LIPS" system.

The 1996 PS1 love sim "NOël NOT Digital" is unique in that it takes place entirely within a virtual OS. Players make video calls to heroines &amp; communicate using "conversation balls". The game features 10+ hours of audio &amp; a large volume of animations made with around 6000 cels.

I'm completely mesmerized by how Jellybean animated this detailed depiction of a woman preparing then eating an 8 PM dinner back in 2005 for the PC title "Private Room 2". (At 8.25X speed to fit in one post)

Hayden Panettiere's performance as Kairi has always stuck with me. Her line deliveries were iconic &amp; to me, the sheer joy in her laughter right before the title drop in KH1 really established the carefree life the three friends had on Destiny Islands. Rest in peace...

Happy 25th anniversary to "Zone of the Enders"! I think the original game is highly underrated &amp; perhaps even misunderstood. It has so many really cool elements, one of my favorites being how the music dynamically changes in combat depending on what actions you perform!

Death Road of Despair is one of the most brilliant ties to narrative I've experienced in a game. You get 2 tries to escape but the controls feel floaty &amp; the stage weaponizes platformer staples. It's designed to make you fail &amp; despair tho it's hypothetically possible. #BaustV3

"Suzumiya Haruhi no Tomadoi: Uchuu-hatsu! Full CG: Odoru SOS-dan" for PS2 also features a special version of Hare Hare Yukai featuring those costumes!

There are so many incredible things about the intro to the PC-98/Win version of "YU-NO" but one of my favorite details is that a piece of the Elf logo in the beginning gets superimposed into the scene on the base of a lamp!
