🚨New Hampshire ranchers are stuck with a 2-year waitlist to process their own beef. “There’s no USDA plant available—and selling local is illegal without it.” A new bill would legalize state-only sales. D.C. says it’s forbidden. NH says: try us. LIVE FREE OR DIE.

The manager of the 6666 Ranch just said what ranchers already know. Dusty Burson runs one of the most famous ranches in the world. When Taylor Sheridan bought the 6666, Dusty told him: "I had faith in what he wanted and which direction he wanted to take the ranch and that he wanted to keep it together." One of those directions: go direct to consumer. Cut the supermarket out. Dusty: "Getting to take it from pasture to plate. People care a lot more about where their food is coming from and the story behind getting to eat it." Dale Brisby: "2020 changed so much. Ranchers were starting to go direct to consumer, and the customers were wanting that." Dusty: "People that did do that realize you can probably eat a higher quality beef from a ranch than you can just going and getting it at the supermarket. Even if it's more expensive, they're willing to pay for it because it is higher quality beef." The 6666 went ranch-direct. The quality spoke for itself. The customers came back. This is what every independent rancher can do. The supply chain is not the only option anymore. Dale Brisby

A Big Four packer told a Kansas City chain to drop Hertzog Meats or lose their whole order. That is how they play ball on the meat side. Jim Hertzog dry-aged beef was flying off the shelf. One of the Big Four noticed and cut the chain off. Corbitt Wall National Beef Wire - Feeder Flash

The 6666 is the most famous ranch in America. 260,000 acres of West Texas. Right now its wagon boss spends his days watching dirt tanks cook off in the sun. Kye Fuston walks the country checking body condition scores. When cows start sliding backwards, that means one thing: start feeding. Water is the real input cost. They move whole sets of cattle to solar wells and pipeline because a dirt tank can be full one day and a mud hole the next. Evaporation is so bad you can have water, come back in two days, and it is a mud hole. That is what drought overhead actually looks like. Every tank is a bet against the sun. And the whole herd is carrying that bill. Dale Brisby

Donald Tarter is 80 years old. He runs cattle at Dunnville, Kentucky, and he does not haul them to a sale barn. He weighs them on his own certified scales, checked every six months. His Superior rep drives out and watches them load. The buyer furnishes the truck and pays on the spot. "They write me a check right then." Cattle hauled to a sale barn shrink 3 to 8 percent of body weight on the trip. On a 600-pound calf that is 18 to 48 pounds gone before the gavel drops. Tarter markets close to 1,000 head a year. 🚨 “Oregon is using satellites to hunt small farms.” Farmer Justin Rhodes says the state redefined “CAFO” so even 3 cows and a milking stand count as a factory farm. Cease-and-desist letters. $100K “upgrades.” Family farms shut down. 🇺🇸 THIS IS WAR!

On 27,000 acres, this Colorado ranch leaves 4,000 acres ungrazed every growing season on purpose. Not because the grass isn't there. Because rest only counts when the plant is actively growing and pushing root. Dormant-season rest is nothing. They rotate which pastures sit out. What they don't graze becomes wildlife habitat by default. Elk move through their cattle herds in the Purgatory River Canyon. Same direction, same trail, same water tanks. They send those photos to Denver. Policy people need receipts that ranching and conservation are the same operation. The hunters and the private landowners are the ones making it work.

Joel Salatin: "You cannot sell a ribeye steak anywhere in this country without asking a bureaucrat's permission." In 1906, seven companies controlled 50% of America's beef. It was called a monopoly. Today, four companies control 85%. They call it the free market.

The Flint Hills of Kansas. 12,000 acres of native prairie that has never been plowed. Topsoil is maybe 2 inches deep. Limestone right below the surface. You can't stick a plow in it. So for over 100 years, ranchers have worked WITH this land instead of against it. Every spring, they burn 70-80% of this country on purpose. Prescribed fire clears old growth, forces fresh native grass, and cattle gain an extra 0.2 to 0.4 pounds per day on burned ground. At $3-4/lb, that's real money per head. Ferguson Ranch has been running cattle here since 1919. 300 fall-calving cows. 300-350 spring-calving cows. Mostly black Angus. About 30 days a year, 80% of all the cattle in the Flint Hills get shipped out. Then there's not a hoof on this country until next May. The last unplowed native tallgrass prairie in North America stays that way because ranchers burn it and graze it on a cycle that's been proven for over a century. Superior Livestock Auction

🚨PESTICIDE IMMUNITY EMERGENCY!!!🚨 WHILE YOU WERE WITH FAMILY OVER THE HOLIDAYS, CONGRESS MOVED TO PROTECT PESTICIDE COMPANIES FROM CANCER AND OTHER LAWSUITS. Reshare this now! Congress is quietly sneaking Section 453 into the spending bill— and Republicans like Congressman Mike Simpson Sen. Lisa Murkowski Speaker Mike Johnson are helping pesticide giants dodge liability. Section 453 gives legal immunity to chemical companies—even if their product harms your kids. Congressman Mike Simpson calls it a “labeling clarification.” That’s a lie. It’s a free pass for Bayer, Syngenta, and every foreign manufacturer dumping poison on U.S. soil. If this passes, you won’t be able to sue—even if you’re harmed. NO MORE IMMUNITY FOR CORPORATE POISON. Kill Section 453!!! SAVE OUR FARMERS!!! House Appropriations *Thanks Dr. Alexandra Muñoz for keeping this on our radar!

The Marlboro Man wasn't an actor. He was Carl Bradley. Wagon boss at the 6666 Ranch. A real cowboy the ad agency found while shooting background footage in 1963. He earned $120 every time the commercial aired. $1,500 for print ads in Life magazine. He saved it all. Bought a few horses and cattle. Dreamed of his own place. Then the government banned cigarette ads on TV in 1971. The income stopped. Two years later, Bradley drowned breaking a young horse in a stock tank near Guthrie, Texas. "The Marlboro man died in the water on a nervous colt, doing the work he had done his entire life." The myth outlived him. The brand he worked for sold cigarettes. The brand on his hip — 6666 — sold cattle. Two brands. One man. Only one of them told the truth.

The Padlock Ranch runs 11,500 head across 430,000 acres of Wyoming. They own a 12,000-head feedlot. Wean 10,200+ calves a year. AI their heifers to Wagyu bulls. Grade 97% Choice+. They rebreed cull cows. Most operations ship open cows for salvage. Padlock turns bulls out, gets them bred, stages them as summer and fall calvers, and adds $330 a head. "That traditionally would have gotten sold as a way up cow. We're able to add about $330 in value to those rebreed cows." Taking what the industry calls salvage and turning it into profit. First expansion in 25 years. They just bought a ranch in Broadus, Montana for 900 more cows. Superior Livestock Auction

A first-gen Angus rancher says the industry is lying about what success costs. Started on 30 open acres near Nevada, Missouri in 1995. Now sells about 250 bulls a year through two sales and feeds three families. For 30 years people pushed him to grow, buy more land, sink money into $8,000-an-acre ground. He refused. Says the real play is getting more efficient with the dirt he already has. No more labor out there either. He calls bigger-with-more-debt the wrong path for a working ranch. The Waggoner Ranch: 510,000 acres, largest ranch under one fence in America. Stan Kroenke bought it for $725 million. Vowed to protect and preserve the proud legacy. Six months later, eviction notices arrived. Families at Lake Diversion had leased land for 50 years. Rick Ellis put $20,000 into renovating his cabin. He cut each floor tile himself. Then a letter from a lawyer told him he had five months to leave. Rick Ellis took his own life in October 2016. His suicide note had one line. "Stan stole my home." His wife Annette spray painted peace signs on the walls before she left. On the door she wrote: "Rick haunted Ellis." "It means this place is haunted by Rick's love. And maybe by his anger, too." A billionaire sports owner who moved the Rams to LA. A veteran on disability with no savings and nowhere to go. The law says the eviction was entirely legal. That is the answer. The law does not require billionaires to care about the people whose lives they upend.

PRESS RELEASE: Canyon, Texas — March 5, 2026 the category-defining global domain acquired by Texas Slim, today announced it is building the first dedicated digital infrastructure network for the global beef industry — connecting ranchers directly to pricing, payment, and market settlement for the first time at scale. This is not an e-commerce launch. It is infrastructure. American ranchers operate inside a system built against them — opaque pricing, slow payments, and middlemen extracting margin at every step. is being built to change that structure, not work around it. The platform is designed to do something the beef industry has never had: a single, transparent layer where product moves, prices are verified, and ranchers get paid faster — backed by real assets. is now engaging institutional investors, infrastructure capital, fintech partners, and agricultural stakeholders to participate in Phase I deployment. Platform Architecture is being architected as: • A real-time Beef Index enabling transparent price discovery • A rancher-direct routing system reducing intermediary bottlenecks • A digitally secured settlement layer compressing payment cycles • A Strategic Beef Reserve designed to buffer supply disruptions • A digital provenance system verifying origin and production data At scale, the platform functions as exchange-grade infrastructure supporting routing, liquidity management, and reserve coordination. Market Structure & Settlement The Beef Index establishes verified, quality-based pricing with capital routed directly to producers — cutting out the opacity that has defined agricultural markets for generations. The settlement framework modernizes agricultural clearing by reducing lag, limiting counterparty friction, and strengthening working capital stability for ranchers. The Strategic Beef Reserve provides structured inventory coordination designed to stabilize supply during periods of market stress. Capital Formation: Phase I Infrastructure Raise has initiated discussions for a $25 million Phase I infrastructure securitization to fund deployment of its routing and settlement architecture. Phase I capital will support: • Exchange architecture development • Rancher-direct routing integration • Regulatory and compliance alignment • Institutional pilot execution • Operational onboarding and scalability This is infrastructure capital directed toward measurable transaction flow improvement within defined regional corridors of the U.S. beef market. Upon validation and expanded adoption, subsequent phases are expected to extend routing nationally and integrate broader liquidity participation. Qualified institutional investors and accredited strategic partners are invited to request private offering materials and schedule executive briefings regarding Phase I participation. Market Positioning controls the definitive global domain within a $500B+ industry and is being developed as the foundational coordination layer for pricing, routing, settlement, and reserve infrastructure. is being valued and built like exchange infrastructure — comparable to financial clearing platforms — not as a consumer food brand. This represents base-layer infrastructure ownership in one of the world’s most essential industries. Executive Statement “This isn’t about launching a website,” said Texas Slim. “It’s about rebuilding how product and capital move through the beef economy. When routing is verified and settlement is efficient, the foundation strengthens.” About is being developed as digital infrastructure for the global beef industry, focused on verified routing, transparent pricing, and modernized settlement systems. It is not retail. It is infrastructure. Texas Slim™ Stacy Herbert 🇸🇻🚀

🚨Under the Federal Meat Inspection Act, ranchers can’t sell their own beef across state lines without USDA inspection — full stop. It doesn’t matter how well you know the rancher or how locally it was processed. That label that reads “NOT FOR SALE” means exactly what it says. As Breeauna Sagdal put it: ‘So not only can I not process it myself… I have to enter into an agreement with JBS, Cargill, or Tyson.’ Which raises a fair question: is this actually about food safety, or does it just funnel independent producers into the arms of a handful of meat-packing giants? They cleared this bottom land, sprigged it in coastal Bermuda. Heavily fertilized. Weed-sprayed. For years. When they pulled the inputs — the land crashed. Weed patch. The soil couldn't function without the chemicals. It was addicted to the spray. Took years of grazing recovery to bring it back. Now Dixon Water Foundation runs cows and Dorper sheep on that same land. Same production. Zero fertilizer. Zero spray. Zero input cost. The grazing replaced the chemical bill.
