I respect Mukesh sir and Elon Musk a lot. I respect the Indian military more. The Starlink and Jio debate started as a fight over how satellite spectrum is handed out. A few things stand out to me. 1. A satellite covering a whole region means worries about signal spillover near sensitive areas. 2. India's conditions are strict. Data stays in India, and agencies get real-time monitoring. 3. Where our data sits will matter more every year. Data is the new oil. I don't think anyone is wrong here. Elon wants to bring his technology to a huge market. Mukesh sir's Jio brought data prices down so far that millions of Indians got online for the first time.

I met Vidyut Jammwal once on the show. Very humble, a true martial artist and a true spiritualist. Now he's on a global stage, and I'm waiting to see what he does next for India's name. I respect Ajay Devgn a lot, and not only because Drishyam 3 has crossed 500 crore worldwide. It's his first 500 crore film after 35 years in the industry. What stands out to me is how business savvy he is. NY VFXwaala, his visual effects company. Devgn Cinex, the multiplex chain he founded. I've started to believe that to reach the top of the Indian film world, you have to understand business.

Every time I want to learn something about Buddhism, I call Palga Rinpoche. This time, I went to him. A week in Ladakh. His monastery. Really proud of what Arunabh Kumar has done with Vvaan. IIT grad. Built TVF. Gave us Panchayat, Kota Factory, Permanent Roommates. Now a film people are actually turning up for. Three things I notice about how he works. He respects his writers. He stays close to what's happening in society. And he puts in the hours. Ghisai, for years. We did a podcast with him a few years ago. Worth going back to.

Recently, India brought Navpreet Singh back from Türkiye. Punjab Police named him as the foreign-based man behind a 105 kg heroin bust in 2024. He's accused of smuggling heroin and meth in from Afghanistan, even after taking Turkish citizenship under the name Navab Virk. Proud of the agencies that unmasked his fake identity and got him home. This is a first step toward a drug free India. The chain runs both inside and outside the country, so it needs all of us. If someone near you is on hard drugs, talk to them early. Say no for your family. Say no for your country too.

Yesterday was Lal Bahadur Shastri's birthday. Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan wasn't just a slogan. It was a man telling soldiers and farmers in the same breath: the country runs on both of you. He died owning almost nothing. No house, no wealth, nothing to inherit. That's rare in a politician. It should still mean something.
