The distinction between "Islamism" and normative Islamic beliefs is becoming totally meaningless. We need to recognise that there is a fundamental incompatibility between normal Islamic views and preserving a culture of free speech: - 52% of British Muslims think depicting Mohammed should be illegal - 32% favour making Sharia the law of the land and Islam the national religion - 1-in-10 young Muslims in Britain agreed that organisations which publish images of Mohammed "deserve to be attacked" I spoke to Josh Howie on GB News about this last week, and about my new book, 'Island of Strangers: Diversity, Decline and Free Speech in Crisis'
