The five men led by an ASP, all serving at Area N, Ijede, have been identified and summoned to the headquarters for further investigation and necessary actions. Preliminary investigation suggests that the driver of the red Corolla with registration number JJJ685GD headed out of the petrol station, driving against traffic. The policemen saw him and attempted to stop him. Upon sighting the officers, the Corolla driver drove in reverse back into the petrol station. All the scratches on the car and cracks on the windscreen allegedly emanated from the Corolla hitting the parked trailer while in reverse. The officers were confronted by an irate crowd as the incident escalated. In their bid to prevent further confrontation with the already charged crowd, they left the scene. A detailed investigation is being launched into the incident to ascertain the extent of unprofessionalism of the police officers. The driver of the vehicle and eye witnesses are encouraged to give useful information, physically or electronically through our various channels. The public will be kept updated on the progress of the investigation.

Officers of Ojo Division today arrested the duo of Imo Lawrence ‘m’ aged 35 and Magnus Nwonka ‘m’ aged 42 in possession of fake drinks. In the course of investigation, the suspects led detectives to their inconspicuous, multi-room ‘factory.’ Investigation is ongoing.

At about 8:40pm on August 21, 2025, Umar Biliaminu was caught while carting away barbed wire on a perimeter fence in Iju area of Lagos State. He injured one of the people trying to apprehend him with a scissors. This prompted mob action on him. Patrol officers from Iju Police Division raced to the scene and rescued him. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend those behind this barbaric act of jungle justice. Say NO to jungle justice!

Of the twelve persons kidnapped on Friday, 26th September 2025 along Okene-Auchi Road, eight have been rescued by the police in conjunction with the military. Concerted efforts are in top gear to ensure the safe rescue of the remaining four victims.

For over three months, staff of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka locked out their Provost, depriving him use of his office. A team set up by the Minister of Education arrived the school today to mediate the ongoing impasse. However, staff of the college aided by students attacked the team from Abuja, damaging over five vehicles and the Provost’s official quarters. Not done, the rioting staff and students also blocked all entrances in and out of the college. The police arrived the scene and restored normalcy after being attacked with stones and sachets of water by the rioters. Meanwhile, thirty-two suspects have been arrested while men of the Nigeria Police Force from Area Command, Surulere remain on ground to ensure that the restored peace remains intact.

For those advising us to take the case up, what advice would you give in the light of this new video? Do not forget that if we still go ahead to press charges and this lady repeats the content of this new video in court, there is no case. The demoralization we often face 🤦♂️.

Nothing of such happened today. This man is fond of driving against traffic and pretending to have been assaulted by the police anytime he is stopped, and always succeeded in whipping up sentiments against the police. In this particular video, when he was accosted for driving against traffic, he pretended he was killed by the police. The officers still impounded his motorcycle. He later showed up at the station to claim his motorcycle. Appropriate action will be taken. Stop fake news!

If you were in my shoes, somebody carries phone on your face, you’ll get angry. You’ll get angry! - a Nigerian 🙄 You guys can’t even take what you dish out. A police officer uses his phone to record you, not randomly, but while you’re breaking a traffic rule and you’re all worked up about it, asking which law empowers him to rightfully get evidence. 🤔 You’re unusual. But law does not matter when you record police officers in the line of duty, sometimes just to agitate them and quickly scream harassment.

Inasmuch as you want to exercise your right to be able to do video recordings of police officers you have encounters with, please endeavour not to be intrusive, not to harass or assault the officers with your recording, not to obstruct the officers in the discharge of their duties and also importantly, to respect the privacy of other people (as can be seen in this part of the video left out by the poster). That being said, the Commissioner of Police Lagos State Police Command, CP Olohundare Jimoh, has directed an investigation into this video. Further updates will be provided.
