After flipping the most Republican seat in the country, I voted to impeach Donald Trump, knowing it would cost me. And I would do it again. Because I didn’t go to Congress to have a job — I went there to do the job. I’ve stood up. I’ve delivered results. I’ve shown the courage to do what’s right. That’s the leadership I’ll bring to this job.

From voting to impeach Donald Trump, supporting women’s access to reproductive healthcare, and leading the charge to pass Utah's first LGBTQ equality protections, I've taken some hits in my career, but it’s been worth it each and every time. Utahns know they can count on me to do what's right, no matter the cost.

It is time to end the occupation of Minneapolis. I am horrified by the killing in Minnesota this morning. Based on what we’ve seen from the multiple witness videos, the victim was innocent and not a threat. The violence at the hands of ICE must stop.

Tonight, Utah Republican legislators are holding their power grab special session. It’s another extreme attempt to undo a vote by the people in favor of fair maps. I believe, as Utahns do, that the people should choose their representatives. But the Republican politicians at the Utah State Capitol want it the other way around. This fight isn’t over. We’ve won it before and we’ll win again.
