I’ve been to four World Cup marchs now. This #USMNT one is solid, the horses are cool and the crowd is decent — but there’s very little chanting, no smoke and overall less hype. Puts into perspective the level Vancouver’s #CanMNT one was on yesterday.

At the World Relays in the spring, a reporter asked USA’s Noah Lyles if he saw Canada as a threat in the 4x100m in Paris. “Who? Who?” He laughed it off. With Lyles sidelined, the USA were disqualified today and Canada won gold.

I’ve seen a lot of the Toronto running community, but this guy wins.

Some frightening scenes out of yesterday’s four-man bobsled race in St. Moritz. USA’s Kris Horn had to navigate the big sled on his own after three teammates failed to board. It all starts when Hunter Powell slips and goes from there.

Toronto absolutely with one of the best games of the group stage so far with Deniz Undav’s brace to beat Ivory Coast 2-1 in the 94th minute. If there was ever a big test for those BMO Field stands, that was it. Germany to the knockouts.

Bad day for #CanMNT CBs. Luc de Fougerolles left Dender’s game in the 62nd minute and walked off gingerly. Kamal Miller left Portland’s game against Inter Miami with an apparent hamstring issue and was in clear pain. 27 days to the WC opener.

I think this should be seen as a positive. Moïse Bombito was able to catch up in the way he is known to. Sure, he misses the tackle, but the rain + the fact he hasn't played in more than 200 days makes it just positive he caught up to it.

Brendan Mackay wasn't a favorite to medal today in men's freeski halfpipe. He has only podiumed three times in the last three seasons on the World Cup circuit. He and his fiancée/teammate Rachel Karker now both have Olympic bronze in halfpipe.

Just in — Mark McMorris is OUT of the Snowboard Big Air qualifier today and won't be able to compete in the final. He fell hard yesterday in training after catching an edge in the moments after landing a jump. He addressed it on his Instagram.
