Emilia Clarke was completely blindsided by Daenerys’s fate in the Game of Thrones finale. She read the script seven times, repeatedly whispering “What, what, what, WHAT!?” Afterward she burst into tears, grabbed only her keys and phone, and walked the streets of London alone for five straight hours trying to process it.

David Fincher has often called Alien 3 (1992) the worst experience of his career. When the studio wanted to cut this scene, he grabbed the camera and filmed it himself. It later became one of the film's most recognizable shots and was used throughout the marketing campaign. “They didn’t take me seriously because of my young age. They didn’t want to take instructions from me.”

The ending of Gangs of New York (2002) is devastating. The graves disappear, the skyline changes, and an entire generation is forgotten. All that violence, all those lives destroyed, eventually reduced to nothing beneath a growing city.

In The Office, an iconic opening scene happened by accident. The exercise ball wasn't supposed to pop. Jim was just supposed to slowly deflate Dwight's ball with scissors while he sank to the floor. The prop master prepared 14 balls for 13 perfect rehearsals. Everyone thought they were done. Then director Paul Feig said, "Ah, what the heck. One more." That final take became one of the show's most legendary cold opens. If you watch closely, you can see John Krasinski break character. "I literally lunge out of the frame because I'm laughing so hard," he said.
