A little tenderness (Keith’s) in such a cruel time. We didn’t get snow but birds are everywhere. And we love birds.

Drumroll please. After 7 sad months of our only-ever doglessness, it’s with outrageous joy we introduce you to Miss Pecos River Moore. Got to bring this little 2 month old girly home today. Our 4th German Shorthaired Pointer. We’ve named them all after Texas waters. Falling fast.

Y’all don’t even know I just saw a red fox out my bedroom window! I was going to get my boots for an after-work walk and I saw something moving in the trees. Then out it came! Beside myself. This is a really wonderful part of living out in the country.

My husband thinks he’s funny. This could be why he doesn’t like basketball as much as I do. He can’t see the screen. PS. The camera shaking around on the second video when the Knicks won was, according to Keith, him doing a little celebratory dance of his own.

Here is your Saturday morning-if-I’m-in-town slice of life from these woods. I open the lid and check the bin every morning just in case a critter is held captive by its appetites. Just doing the Lord’s work here because, well, it is for freedom that Christ has set it free.

Just think. When Christ’s kingdom fully comes, we’ll have all sorts of creatures just laying around the yard. Like a giraffe or even a rhino or I’d like to request a baby elephant and, well, a lion and a lamb and what all.

Wooooohooooo!!!! I got a good report today! Of course, I’ve still got a long recovery ahead of me and still have to wear my brace but it looks great for 3 week point and I can start aquatic physical therapy in a week! Cannot thank you enough for your love and care and prayer!!

Keith had to take me to an appointment this morning before I got to work so I told him I’d take him to breakfast right afterwards. This is the conversation that ensued. If you’re a Californian, please forgive born and bred Texans. They know not what they do.

Coming home from a run to the grocery store so Keith and I can cook for like 114 hours on a Saturday.

I often see the sweetest sights on my walks before work. Well, I also see poisonous snakes and half-eaten critters, the latter of which Pecos usually carries with us while I holler at the top of my lungs, DROP IT! But for such a naughty puppy, Pecos can also be a very good girl.

I’m the luckiest.

Never escapes me how graced by God I am to get to serve with Travis Cottrell. This guy’s been worship leader for our events for 25 years. Melissa Moore Zolfo grabbed this clip this weekend. I’ve never seen a side of him inconsistent with who he is on stage. (He composed the music.)

Just some thoughts this morning, some things going on in my head, to you guys I interact with most on here.

Now, I don’t know about you but sometimes I’m a tad cheered by a ridiculous animal video. Pecos just doing her part.

What I’ve been working on for 2 years. This world will keep trembling, the earth quaking, folks fighting, groups splitting, rulers rising and falling. The only way in my estimation to be a stable, courageous presence in this tumultuous world is to walk with God. January release.

Just saying good morning and hoping to encourage some of you this morning. Sometimes a voice is warmer than words on a screen even if the accent can be annoying. :)
