Happy 4 of July: Let’s make people angry! A powerful Black woman, the first Black woman elected as San Francisco District Attorney, the first woman, and the first Black person to serve as California Attorney General. She was also the second Black woman ever elected to the U.S. Senate and the first woman to serve as acting President of the United States when presidential powers were temporarily transferred to her during President Joe Biden’s medical procedure on November 19, 2021. Additionally, she was the first Black woman nominated for president by a major U.S. political party when she became the Democratic nominee in 2024! Was Ralph Tresvant feeling the pressure of going solo? Yes, Ralph is the lead singer of New Edition, but when the group disbanded after the immense success of their “Heart Break” album, Ralph was the last to release his solo project. Naturally, he had to feel the pressure! Despite Bobby Brown’s massive success with his “Don’t Be Cruel” album, the music industry was still buzzing with hits. Bell Biv DeVoe released one of the biggest New Jack Swing hits, “Poison,” which sold over 4 million copies. Then came Johnny Gill with two number 1 hits, “Rub You the Right Way” and everyone’s favorite, “My, My, My.” And let’s not forget Ralph Tresvant’s self-titled album, “Ralph Tresvant.” Compared to his brothers, it couldn’t have been a flop; it had to be number 1. In my opinion, the New Edition fans didn’t disappoint. Just like they supported and loved the rest of the group, they did the same for Ralph. His album and his first single, “Sensitivity,” both reached number 1, making history! What other music group has broken up, with each individual achieving major success either solo or in another group, only to reunite in 1996 with the album “Home Again”? This album went number 1, featuring a number 1 single, “Hit Me Off,” and continues to have one of the biggest tours and the best Las Vegas residency. Although they weren’t inducted into the Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame as they deserved, they received the most votes from the people, which is a win in my book! The largest Antebellum mansion in the South, dating back to 1859, has been destroyed by a fire and the #slaves that built the place are now free and truly resting. The #NottowayPlantation is one of the largest historic mansions in the South. It's located on the famous River Road between #BatonRouge and #NewOrleans. The mansion, which sits on 31 acres, is known for its massive white columns and grand balconies that overlook the #Mississippi River. On the other side, three-story rotundas overlooked the lawns, dotted with the large oak trees. The oldest tree on the property is about 162 years old—about the same age as the mansion, according to Nottoway's resort website. It's also a piece of #American #history🙄that stirs debate and dark memories. The #plantation was once owned by John Hampden Rudolph, a sugar planter. The 64-room, 53,000 square foot property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The fire at Nottoway Plantation in White Castle, LA—just outside Baton Rouge—broke out around 2pm on Thursday, May 15 and reduced the 160-year-old landmark to rubble. It's believed slaves build the home. By 1860, Randolph owned 155 enslaved #Black people who helped maintain the plantation. During the #CivilWar, Nottoway Plantation was able to avoid any major damage. Its early history is undeniably tied to a time of great injustice, personally I don’t have any remorse that this place is gone!!

This is Don Scott, he’s the #Virginia Speaker of the House. The night of the election he’s going to get at least 55 seats, he ended up getting 64 seats, flipping 13 #republican seats #democrat. They now have a supermajority! The reason why I bring this up, imagine if #President #JoeBiden would have had a 64 supermajority in the #Senate how much more could he have gotten done? #VotingMatters!!

How many #blacks that didn’t vote how much did #trump win in #Georgia and #NorthCarolina. In Georgia 1,016,000 #blackpeople didn’t #vote, trump won by 115,000 votes. In North Carolina 661,000 black people didn’t vote, trump won by 183,000 votes 40% of black people did not vote in the 2024 election but 70% of WHITE #evangelicals voted for trump Speaker Mike Johnson became the speaker by 7000 votes Our silence and #misinformation is killing us! Thank you rolandsmartin for bring these numbers to light and it’s a shame.

I’m delighted that she pointed out that some of you are being distracted from the truth and lack focus on the right energy to defeat #KenPaxton in this #Texas #Senate race! On March 4, 2026 at 8:42am she said this in a twitter post” “This morning I called James and congratulated him on becoming the Senate nominee. Texas is primed to turn blue and we must remain united because this is bigger than any one person. This is about the future of all 30 million Texans and getting America back on track. With the primary behind us, Democrats must rally around our nominees and win. I'm committed to doing my part and will continue working to elect democrats up and down the ballot”. It sounds like a strong endorsement and complete support to me! If you know Jasmine Crockett, you’ll know that she’s always worked hard for and with down-ballot candidates, and that’s no different today. She’ll continue to help down-ballot candidates, just like #Beto did when he ran for Senate and helped flip multiple seats! Guess what? Helping down-ballot candidates will also help top-ballot candidates! Lastly watch until the end and learn about ‘flood the zone’ because some of yall fell for the banana in the tailpipe!
